small appliances, outdoor decorToday when I was online looking for small appliances for the kitchen, I ran across this hand kitchen grater and decided I'd rather have that than small appliances to do my cutting and chopping for me. My biggest reason for going with a manual grater than an electric one was twofold. First, I want to use less electricity because we are doing what we can to go green, and second, this grater comes with four different grating shapes. This is the LaCuisine™ Kitchen Grater and I think it'll be a perfect replacement for my kitchen grater that's decades old. Unlike my old one, this one comes with a pusher that will keep my fingers safe from the blades themselves. I also like the large capacity stainless steel bowl that it comes with because stainless steel is nonreactive and when I send acidic food through this, I won't worry about reactions with the metal.

Another thing I like about this grater is that I can control the shapes and textures of what I'm going to slice, unlike those small appliances like blenders or food processors that can turn onions and peppers into mush in no time flat so that all that's left is the juice. I love to make cole slaw at home and I use a lot of red, green, and yellow peppers, and this grater will be perfect for the task of slicing them. It'll also be easier to clean than a blender or food processor, too. I have both of those small appliances and use them quite a bit, especially in the winter when it's a good time for pureed soups. But our winter in Phoenix is about over, and it's time to start thinking about salads, and this will be perfect for preparing the fruit and vegetables we put in them.

I found this at CRR Products located at http://www.crrproducts.com, a site with a lot of items for the kitchen, outdoor decor, and even flameless candles. I am a homebody, and love to buy things for the home online. Cooking is my number one hobby and I've found that having the right tools for the job makes it so much simpler, as any car mechanic knows well. It's so much simpler to buy what I want for the kitchen than try to find them locally. I'll have the items I ordered within a week or so, and will not have spent a long time shopping around town for them. Since I already know that it's in stock online, it just makes sense to buy it from CRR Products than try to find it locally and spend the time and money I save on our yard and outdoor decor, in time for our nicest season, spring.
